Did Lisa submit biometric info in GuangZhou? My wife and her daughter did in Feb. Will she need to do again when she is here?

    Hi Mudgy...
No she did not and even if she did I think the British Government will still make them do it in the UK

I have to disagree with roadie1, I think they may be given there ID cards in Guangzhou with the vignette in the passport as proof of their settlement Visa. As they say the ID Card is proof of who they are and what they are entitled too.

I think every person that intends to live here from foreign parts should have an ID card as they do in most countries.

It won't stop all the undesirables coming in but it would stop a vast majority.

I am waiting for my wife's ID card, they no longer put the visa in the passport it is included in the ID card, at least that is what the letter said from the immigration authority when they returned passports and doc's.
They said ID card should arrive in 10 days if not get back in contact with them.
I had a heart stopping moment as the first thing I did when paperwork came back was to check wife's passport for new visa which was not there, I thought it may have been refused, but as always ......if all else fails read instructions Laughing

    Hi Douglas...
I did the same thing as you so I phoned them took 10 MINS to get though. The young lady said to me have been for a I.D. card YES I said then all the information will be on there,
We must change that letter she said.
7 days later the I.D. card came.
