First you have to prove that they made an error! In my case I have to prove that UKBA did not put the third passport into the envelope before sealing it. In your case you have to prove that the wording they have used on the visas for years is now incorrect. (Since the directive 6 years ago). Fortunately the Ombudsman only has to prove anything on the "balance of probability" and not "beyond doubt".

    Best of luck,
    David

Well, in my case it should be very easy. If they refuse to change the wording or add the wording they fail to comply. The EU 'system' must have a method/penalty for failure to comply with directives. No error has been made, perhaps it will be just a case of'the subject has not arisen before'. However I will be very surprised if it has not.

You mentioned the Parliamentary Ombudsman but I think the local MP is the next port of call before the PO. You agree?

This thread has become one of 'travelling in the EU' (my fault).

I will open a new thread 'Travelling in the EU' for further information.
